What is the purpose of a communication model? Write short notes on Shannon and Warren Weaver with diagram. 

The purpose of a model is to offer a visual representation of a concept with the intent of facilitating its understanding. Models of communication refers to the conceptual model used to explain the human communication process. The first major model for communication came in 1949 by Shannon and Warren Weaver.
Following the basic concept, communication is the process of sending and receiving messages or transferring information from one part (sender) to another (receiver).Traditionally speaking, there are three standard models of the Communication process: Linear, Interactive, and Transactional, and each offers a slightly different perspective on the communication process which we are going to see in the next chapters .
