Display Data from database to a web page
We use select querry to select the data and display it in the form of a table .
The SQL SELECT Statement
The SELECT statement is used to select data from a database.
The data returned is stored in a result table, called the result-set.
SELECT Syntax
SELECT column1, column2, ...
FROM table_name;
SELECT * FROM table_name;
Example
SELECT CustomerName, City FROM Customers;
SELECT * Example
The following SQL statement selects all the columns from the "Customers" table:

Select Data With MySQLi
The following example selects the id, firstname and lastname columns from the MyGuests table and displays it on the page:

Note
function num_rows() checks if there are more than zero rows returned.
If there are more than zero rows returned, the function fetch_assoc() puts all the results into an associative array that we can loop through. The while() loop loops through the result set and outputs the data from the id, firstname and lastname columns.
