Definition and Usage
The canplay event occurs when the browser can start playing the specified audio/video (when it has buffered enough to begin).
During the loading process of an audio/video, the following events occur, in this order:

The numbers in the table specify the first browser version that fully supports the event.

Syntax
In HTML:

In JavaScript:

In JavaScript, using the addEventListener() method:

Note: The addEventListener() method is not supported in Internet Explorer 8 and earlier versions.
